krankbrother | 📍Finsbury Park, N4 | 8 & 9 August | (£)
Krankbrother’s Finsbury Park run ends this weekend with its final two outdoor parties. Expect electronic music, large scale production and hours of dancing in the park, from afternoon into evening. Both dates are ticketed.
Kilburn High Road Festival | 📍Kilburn High Road, NW6 | Until 15 August | Free / (£)
Kilburn’s stories move out of the theatre and onto the High Road this weekend. On Saturday, the Kilburn House Band plays three free sets outside Kilburn Market, mixing the area’s reggae roots with the many sounds heard in its pubs and music venues over the years. You can also take a 25 minute headphone walk through Kilburn’s food history, or catch the final day of KEITH, a short play staged inside a café about a man who lived here for all 103 years of his life. Across both days, look out for giant artworks and portraits of local shopkeepers along the road. Live music at 11.30am, 1pm and 3.30pm. Some performances require booking.
Roundhouse Comedy Festival | 📍Roundhouse, NW1 | Until 18 August | (£)
This weekend, the festival swaps straight stand-up for two live comedy game shows from US comedy platform Dropout. On Saturday, Um, Actually tests how much comedians know about films, games and other nerdy obsessions, with points only awarded when a correction begins with “um, actually”. On Sunday, Dirty Laundry has Ivo Graham, Jenny Eclair, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Stevie Martin guessing which embarrassing secret belongs to whom, while audience confessions may be added to throw them off. Both start at 7.30pm and are for ages 16+
Enfield Art Circle Exhibition | 📍Capel Manor Gardens, Enfield | Until 16 August | (£)
See what Enfield’s local artists have been painting, drawing and creating at this annual exhibition inside Capel Manor Gardens. Framed works will be on display and available to buy, so you may leave with a new favourite for the wall. Entry is included with garden admission and no booking is needed. Open 10am to 5pm, with last entry at 4pm.
Regent's Park Music Festival | 📍Regent's Park, NW1 | Until 20 September | Free
Every Sunday all summer, there's a free band playing in Regent's Park. Jazz, brass, steel and concert bands, with swing dancing on five Sundays and jazz on selected Saturdays. Now in its tenth year.

Music from the Black Barn: Ska, Reggae & Jerk | 📍Forty Hall Farm, Enfield | 8 August | (£)
A summer night in Forty Hall Farm’s Black Barn with two live bands playing classic ska and reggae. Ukulele Ska Collective rework songs by The Specials, Toots and the Maytals, Jimmy Cliff and more, before Reminisce Reggae Band takes over with the sounds that have filled dancefloors for decades. Jerk food and a bar will be on site, and dancing is very much part of the plan. Doors open at 6pm, music from 7pm. Adults £15, teens £8. Under 18s must come with an adult.
Up Next Festival | 📍Blue House Yard, N22 | 8 August | Free
The red double decker bus is the bar, the yard is the venue, and the rest of the afternoon is live music, food and local brands. Go for a browse, stay for a drink and see who takes the stage next. All ages welcome. 1pm to 8pm.
Rock & Robots 34 | 📍The Others, N16 | 9 August | (£)
Three local indie acts, then robots battling it out live in the same room. Eli Gumble, Archie Shuttler and Hugmonger provide the soundtrack before the homemade machines take over for a night that is part gig, part robot fight and unlike your usual Sunday evening. Under 16s must come with a parent or legal guardian. 5.30pm to 10.30pm.
Tottenham Solidarity Summer Family Fiesta | 📍Down Lane Pavilion, N17 | 9 August | Free
Local groups fighting to protect Tottenham’s community spaces are bringing people together for a family fiesta in the park. The afternoon also celebrates Jamaican Independence Day, with free food, live music, DJs, salsa, hair braiding, face painting and activities for children. There will be short speeches about the campaign too, so you can find out what is at risk and how locals are responding. 1pm to 6pm.
Hidden in Plain Sight: Enfield Town Heritage Trail | 📍Palace Gardens, EN2 | 8 August | Free
Part walk, part local treasure hunt. Pick up a map, follow the clues around Enfield Town and look for details you may have passed hundreds of times without noticing. The route takes around 45 to 60 minutes, with local landmarks, historical hints, Lost and Found Bingo and a small prize at the end. Maps are available from the Enfield Society gazebo between M&S and Pearsons from 12pm to 5pm.
Allen Jones: Taking Shape | 📍Camden Arts Projects, NW5 | Until 30 August | Free
Even if you have never heard of Allen Jones, the idea is easy to get: figures that seem to change as you move around them. The British Pop artist has filled the gallery with a steel sumo wrestler, brightly coloured bodies and a five metre sculpture hanging overhead. One piece even lets you turn part of the figure yourself, changing its pose as you look. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 6pm.
Pubs Through Time: A Tour of Tottenham’s Coaching Inn History | 📍Tottenham High Road, N15 | 8 August | Free
Walk the old coaching inn route along Tottenham High Road and hear about the pubs, breweries and families that once kept travellers fed, watered and moving. Local historian Oona Kelly will also explain how these inns became important meeting places for business, local decisions and everyday life. Meet outside Tesco at 10.45am for an 11am start. The walk lasts two hours and finishes near Bruce Grove.
A Bug’s Life Zine Workshop | 📍Hypha Studios, Kentish Town, NW5 | 8 August | Free
Never made a zine before? It’s basically a tiny homemade magazine you fold from paper and fill with your own drawings, words and ideas. Drop in, choose a bug themed prompt, then cut, stick, write and draw using the materials provided. Add your finished zine to the mini library for someone else to discover, and have a look through what other people have made too. No art skills needed. Tea and biscuits included. Drop in anytime from 2pm to 7pm.
Brewed Summer Market | 📍Brewed Online, N4 | 8- 9 August | Free
Brewed is giving the café over to local artists and small businesses for the weekend. Browse ceramics, prints, children’s clothes, textiles and personalised gifts, while children can get their faces painted and everyone can add something to the community mural. There is also a special drink made with The Honey Project. From 8am on Saturday and Sunday.
HGO Summer Concert 2026 | 📍St Michael’s Church, Highgate, N6 | 8 August | (£)
Four singers from recent HGO productions take over St Michael’s for an evening of opera favourites, with music from Carmen, Don Giovanni, Rusalka, The Pirates of Penzance and more. Stay afterwards to meet the performers over a glass of wine or juice, included with your ticket. The concert raises money to support young opera singers at the start of their careers. 6pm to 8pm. Tickets from £12.
The Divine Bar Boot Sale | 📍The Divine, N16 | 9 August | Free
A car boot sale, except the car boots have been replaced by two floors of a queer bar. Thirty five sellers will be clearing out clothes, books, homeware and whatever else they have dragged from their cupboards. Rummage downstairs, stop for coffee and cake or something stronger, then head back in for another look. Pets welcome and no booking needed. 12pm to 5pm. The basement is not step free.
Thought Experiments in the Park | 📍Regent’s Park, NW1 | 8 August | Free
A park meet-up for people who want to skip the small talk and discuss questions with no obvious right answer. You will read three tiny fictional scenarios designed to make you think, then talk them through in small groups, swapping groups for each one. The theme will be revealed on the day, and you do not need any knowledge of philosophy. Bring something to sit on, plus drinks or snacks. Meet near Gloucester Gate at 3pm. The organised session ends at 5pm, but people can stay and continue chatting.
The Camden Fringe | 📍Various venues across Camden and beyond | 3-30 August | (£)
For four weeks, Camden fills up with more than 450 shows across 39 venues. Expect comedy, theatre, music, dance, opera, improv and plenty of ideas that are still rough around the edges in the best way. Most shows last about an hour, so you can book something on a whim, discover someone brilliant before everyone else does, or see the strangest thing in the programme just because you can.
Collective Writing with common/play\grounds | 📍Cubitt, N1 | 9 August | Free
Cubitt is leaving the Angel Mews space it has called home for years, and this workshop is helping write its goodbye. You will look through old material from the gallery, write down memories and reactions, then combine your words with everyone else’s to create one group farewell. The finished piece will be printed on a risograph machine and read aloud together. No writing experience needed. Lunch is included. Bring a phone, tablet or laptop. 11am to 2pm. Registration required.
Music by Jack’s Lake: Final Concert | 📍Monken Hadley Common, EN4 | 8 August | Free
The last concert of this year’s lakeside series brings harpsichord, cello, violin, viola, piano and soprano voice to Monken Hadley Common. Alistair Scahill, Miwa Rosso, Charles Mutter and Ilona Domnich will play an evening shaped by North London’s mix of cultures. Bring a folding chair, a picnic and the dog. Starts at 6pm. Suggested donation £10. If it rains, the concert moves to St Mary the Virgin Church nearby.
Cocktails in the City | 📍Bedford Square Gardens, WC1B | 6 to 8 August | (£)
If you missed it in July, Cocktails in the City is back this weekend. That means Bedford Square’s private Georgian garden will become a pop-up village of bars, bringing signature cocktails from leading London and international venues into one place. Wander between them without crossing the city, with street food, music, tastings and workshops around the garden.
Charity Super.Mkt Pop-Up | 📍Coal Drops Yard, N1C | 6-9 August | Free
Several charity shops bring their best rails together under one roof, with vintage finds, designer labels and high street pieces to dig through. You can also bring along a favourite item that needs some care and learn how to repair or refresh it at the Made Better drop-ins. Every purchase supports charity and keeps another piece of clothing in circulation. 10am to 6pm.
